HERO

About
I'm an all rounder who plays wheelchair cricket for Surrey and the UK/Team GB. I also play mainstream cricket for Spencer. I am a disability advocate, and am involved with multiple organisations to improve society for disabled people, including Whizz Kidz and Ambitious About Autism. I was awarded a British Empire Medal for services to young people with disabilities and autism in the King's New Year's Honours List 2025.
Cricket Background
I've played cricket for Spencer, my local club, since I was 8 or 9. After becoming a wheelchair user in 2021, I play for the Surrey disability team and the Surrey wheelchair team as well as Team GB/UK. I also played for my university, King's College London, women's cricket team.

How I Heard About Maiden
I heard about Maiden from other ambassadors on social media.
Why Maiden?
Maiden is redefining cricket clothing for females as well as shining a spotlight on women and girls cricket. Being the only wheelchair user playing in the Surrey hardball leagues, I have had to fight and prove that I am able to play alongside non disabled peers and I hope that with the increased exposure through Maiden, no one else does and people can see that cricket is a sport for all. I really hope to also inspire more disabled people to take up cricket and see the transformative powers of sport I've experienced first hand.
